2025 came and went and, oh! Was it such a sweet and challenging year. After all, 2025 is the year I became a mother. I learned so many new things, but especially to enjoy motherhood.
All the new responsibilities I now have made it quite challenging to keep up with all the content I had planned to publish this year at UVCMC. However, by the grace of God, me and my sister Carla (who serves as a graphic designer) were able to find new systems to keep up with our goals!
With that said, this year we published articles from six different authors. The topics explored this year went from pregnancy, abortion, and motherhood at the beginning of the year to the death of Charlie Kirk, John MacArthur and Voddie Vaucham, manhood and Christmas in the second part of the year. At this point it has become a tradition to publish my beloved mom’s Christmas poem the last week of December.
We had repeat guest writers that were a pleasure to work with, Gabrielle Stafford, Theron St. John, and Mark Copenger, who we hope will keep delighting us with their writing. We also had a piece written by my multitalented sister Carla.

In this article, that was originally published by Christ Over All in 2023 in English, doctor Mark Coppenger addresses the complex issue of ectopic pregnancies that pro-lifers often see as a medical situation that may warrant prioritizing the life of the mother and pro-choicers use as an entry point to argue the legitimacy of ending the life of unborn children. #2 THE MIRACLE OF LIFE by Andrea Guachalla Alarcon
This piece was written by me during the first month of my baby’s life. In it I write about how I wrestled to give up control of my future to God and came to a point where I had to hold my longing to have children with an open hand, praying that God would do his will. The Lord responded to my prayers by giving me a son. You can read the article here.
#1 A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS: CHRISTIANS, ABORTION, AND THE POWER OF YOUR VOTE by Gabrielle Stafford
This one was written by Gabrielle Stafford, an avid pro-lifer who has contributed with many of her writings to UVCMC. In this piece she explains how important it is for Christian voters to research presidential candidate to see if they are for or against the life of the unborn. The principles she shares are applicable regardless of which country you live in. You can read the article here.
And with that 2025 came to an end and a new year started.
For 2026 we are planning to have more guest writers, many more articles published touching on a variety of topics, and many podcast episodes from Alvaro and me. We hope you will stick around and be blessed by what we do!
As for my podcast, we are resuming our streamings really soon. As you probably noticed already I am shifting gears to talk more about marriage, motherhood and femininity with fewer episodes analyzing sociopolitical news and pop culture. I do hope I will be able to prepare episodes analyzing current movie releases from a Christian worldview. I really love everything about the art of making movies, but for the time being it’s been more organic to talk about things related to what I’m learning. It is my hope that I’m able to encourage young moms like myself and younger women who long to be wives and mothers.
