ANDREA GUACHALLA

My name is Andrea Guachalla, I am a Christian, and the soon-to-be wife of Mirko.

I was born in the highest capital in the world, the City of La Paz, Bolivia, and I’m also an Argentinian citizen by parents. In 2015 I was saved by the grace of God after 4+ years of being immersed in atheism and feminism. A year after my awakening to Christianity I graduated with a bachelor degree in Biochemistry from the University Mayor de San Andrés. While the desire to prove God didn’t exist and women are oppressed by the patriarchy were my main drivers for pursuing university studies, that time was redeemed by God by his allowing me to use all the abilities I obtained to help my family, and edify others.

Since 2019 to this day I’ve been working as an international communicator, interpreter and translator, mainly due to the fact that I moved to a very international city, the City of Vienna in Austria. Since then I collaborated with the Iglesia Cristiana Bíblica Sola Scripture (ICBSE), the Global Outreach organization, Equipping Leaders International (ELI) and managed to generate intercultural connections between ministries. Currently, regarding work, my greatest interests are languages and international communication.

In 2020 I became a member of the reformed church Christus Gemeinde Wien (Church of Christ Vienna – CGW), and it is through the leadership of said church that my brother Alvaro and I began to work with ELI in order to train Bolivian men who are called to the pastoral ministry. From that time on I’ve had a great desire to use the gifts that God gave me to edify the church in my native country, and help manage theological training logistics and aids for Bolivian pastors.

This desire and the advice I received at CGW and from those close to me, led me to start the Bolivia Reformata project that is still ongoing, the Tasting The Ocean project that currently became A Conservative Voice in the Midst of Chaos – UVCMC and to coordinate the translation of biblical material into the Aymara language, native to Bolivian regions. My desire is that God will allow me to be a wife and mother who glorifies the Lord and in His mercy uses me as an instrument in edifying churches in my beloved native country and, who knows?, perhaps also in Argentina.

If you want to support Andrea’s mission and work you can do so here.
